Many clients have the need to merge LMS accounts for a variety of reasons including name changes or HRMS migrations. Noverant provides a process that allows Admins to do this locally with out Support.
Using the example of OldUsername merging into NewUsername.
1) Be sure the NewUsername exists and is active, i.e. in at least one group.
2) Search for the inactive user (OldUsername) you are wanting to merge from, and click the “Person Actions” button, then select “Merge User Transcripts.
3) You’ll be directed to a page that instructs you to enter the active user youre wanting to merge the inactive user into.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* - You will notice the two green “download transcript” buttons next to retired user and active user. This is important to know, because this allows you to download the transcript of the retired OldUsername before merging into NewUsername.
4) Once completed and submitted, search for the NewUsername to confirm the completions of training has been merged over into thier Transcripot.
5) Verify that the user has been merged, search for an item that was completed by the retired user on the new user transcript page. You’ll notice in the signature history the details of the merge including date, time, and who approved of the merge.
